I have been Dreaming of lifting Nations Cup - Yaya Toure
Ivorian Midfielder,Yaya Toure looked more relieved than elated yesterday when he happily lifted the African Nations Cup for the first time at the sixth attempt, breaking his duck at the international level with Ivory Coast.
"I have been waiting for many years now. I have been dreaming of this. It is difficult right now to describe the felings as captain, it is something special." He said after his side shaded Ghana 9-8 on penalties in Sunday's final of the just concluded African Cup of Nations.
Midfielder Toure, 31, has won league titles at clubs in three different countries and a Champions League with Barcelona. He had twice proven a cup final hero and also won two English Premier League titles over the last four seasons with Manchester City.
But with Ivory Coast, it has been a tale of woe till Sunday's decider at Estadio de Bata which was settled by penalties shootout following 120 minutes of goalless action.
