Former Super Eagles Handler, Berti Vogts Hospitalized

Ex-Super Eagles coach, Berti Vogts is to remain in an Intensive Care at the University Hospital of Tubingen, Central Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. In an announcement made by German Football Federations, the 68- year-old coach who led the Nigerian Super Eagles to the quarter-final at Ghana 2008 African Nations Cup would remain in the Intensive Care at the hospital for a long- plan heart surgery. “I have known for the last three or four months that I needed a new heart valve” vogts stated in a German newspaper, Bild.
Berti Vogts who had managed several National Football teams, coached Germany to success at Euro 96 and was a World cup winner as a player in 1974. He was most recently in charge of Azerbaijan Football team but left after they failed to qualify for Euro 2016. He is however eager to get back to the game as soon as he has recovered, saying he is ready to take up a new role with an unnamed team and continue to work as a manager or director of sport.
