Just discovered this tips on a site and decided to share who knows i might be helping someone.......enjoy......
Let's face it, when it comes to meeting the next Mr or Ms Right, we could all do with a little help. Here are a few things to keep in mind next time you're out on a date.

1. Don’t forget your manners

Without getting too Sir Lancelot about things, a little etiquette goes a long way. If she looks nice, tell her that. Maybe open the door as she walks through, or offer your arm as she steps down from the curb – but play it by ear and don’t go too overboard. Also, make sure you remember her eye colour (trust us on this one) and when you’re comfortable, maybe test the waters by leaning in a little closer as she speaks – if she backs away, well, it’s probably not going well.

Weddings can be interesting especially when planning one  but if you are not careful, you can easily lose control of your finances. You don't have to skip all of the dreamy details just because you are planning a wedding on a budget. Saving money on big things like rings and other jewelleries can make a huge difference. Beautiful wedding bands don't  have to be expensive when you know how to shop and what to look for. Rings are available in a variety of price ranges to suit the needs of every bride and groom. Although round and princess-cut white diamonds are the most traditional stones in a diamond ring, a myriad of other choices are available. Diamonds can be cut into many shapes, some of which may reflect your style and taste better than others. Triangle-shaped trillion diamonds are beautiful choices for engagement jewelry, and they are also less common than other cuts.  A sparkling colored gem or luminous pearl can take the place of the traditional diamond center stone. Many women look forward to having a large engagement ring, but the option to choose something understated is still available. A simple gold wedding band with flush-set or channel-set diamonds is a wonderful choice if you do not wear a lot of jewelry or if you prefer a classic, tailored look. Bands with intricate designs or etchings are perfect for anyone who prefers an engagement ring without a stone.

Decorative Decorations

 1. Decorative lightings:  creates a party atmosphere. Candles, string lights, lanterns or garden lights create a soft, relaxing mood for your guests to enjoy. Candlelit centerpieces on a dinner table will make any dinner party more elegant. String lights on a porch or patio to make an outdoor birthday party more fun. Scented candles make a holiday soiree unforgettable.

2. Table linens: Table cloths and runners add a finished touch to a dining table or buffet spread. Place a beautiful formal tablecloth on your dining table to prepare for an elegant dinner party. Measure the length of your table or buffet before you purchase a tablecloth or runner. Also, consider the color palette of the room. White table linens go with any decor and are the perfect choice for formal events while bright colors and prints set the tone for casual gatherings.

3.  Centerpieces: are a fun and creative way to make your party decor shine. No matter how formal or casual the party, from wedding rehearsal dinners to super bowl parties, table centerpieces add a lot to the decor. Centerpieces of fresh flowers are an elegant choice for formal parties while silk plants, balloons or novelty items work well for casual parties

4.decor: When decorating for holiday parties and seasonal events, the choices are limitless. Most holidays have the theme built right in, so it's easy to find the perfect decorations for your party. Whether you're going for a traditional or nontraditional look for your seasonal decor, start with lighting and table linens and finish the look with centerpieces .

Weekend is here again, for those of us attending weddings, birthdays or any other event that requires you buying gifts, here are some tips from me to you to help you through........

  1. Dinner, glass, and flatware: These very traditional gifts are also very practical. Most couples will register for formal, semi-formal, and casual patterns to use for different occasions. Keep price range and formality in mind when you choose a gift. While a single place setting of formal china is an appropriate gift, you may want to get four or more place settings of casual dinnerwares.
  2. Small appliances: A toaster may be the archetypal wedding gift, but it's something that the bride and groom will likely use every day together. If you want a gift that will go a long way without spending too much, look for toasters, hand mixers, blenders, and other small appliances to give as gifts.
  3. Cookware: Another popular gift, cookware is something that the bride and groom will get a lot of use out of.Cookwares and cutlery sets make excellent gifts because they often have everything you need to cook a meal. Specialty cookware, such as works, steamers, and roasting pans, are also great gifts and are not typically included in sets.
  4. Linens: Setting up a home means setting up a space the bride and groom  live comfortably in. That's why sheets and towels are popular registry items. Plus, the couple will need more than one set of sheets and towels, so you don't have to worry about someone else buying them, too. Look for sets made of soft, quality fibers, like bamboo or Egyptian cotton.
  5. Decor: The celebrant will certainly want to make their home beautiful as well as comfortable. To help them make their house a home, look for decors . Crystal vases and candlesticks are beautiful and timeless gifts that are fitting for the occasion. Photo frames are another popular gift, especially large frames the couple can use to display wedding photos.

Etubom Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu has been dethroned as the Obong of Calabar after an Appeal Court sitting in Calabar has confirmed  a  Calabar High Court ruling which, in October 2012, nullified the processes for his selection.
The court subsequently ordered for another selection process to elect an Obong for the Efik.
According to reports, the decision was unanimous. Justice Mohanmmed Lawal, Justice Uzor Ndukwe and Justice Onyekachi Okisi, the Appeal Court judges  agreed that the selection  processes through which Etubom Abasi Otu emerged to become the Obong of Calabar was not all inclusive and thus new processes should be instituted for all eligible persons to undergo the selection  of Obong.
